Customer Review: My space bags are working well for 2 months

I bought the "3 large with bonus travel bag" package. I filled two of them with my clothes. They have not lost air in the past two months since they were filled. In fact, they look exactly the same. I am very satisfied and bought some recently to shrink up a huge blanket. It is one-third the original size. I think they work great.
It's nice to be able to store clothes on the garage shelves in the space bags. Humidity is not good for fabrics and they normally need to be stored indoors. My storage areas inside are very limited so for me this product is very useful.

I was very excited to order these since I was reorganizing the house and trying to store things better. The product looks good on tv and the idea is a good one, but when they actually came I was disappointed. First of all, the bags are much more flimsy than I expected. Also, the ziploc-like seal on the bag is not very zippy, nor does it lock well. The little tab they have on the bag is pretty much useless because I had to go in with my hands and close every little bit so that the bag actually closed...it took a while and I had to vacuum seal the bag a couple of times before it was really closed well. Also, the idea that you are really saving space is a false one because you can only store them somewhere that is as big as the bags are...and if you're vacuum sealing sleeping bags or comforters, they are pretty big bags and don't fit easily into most spaces. All in all, I'll probably keep mine just because it is somewhat helpful and I keep them under the bed anyway so don't need them to fit into tight spaces. However, if you are looking for serious improvements in storage, I'd say to find another product.Customer Review: Great Concept, Needs Work

I was excited about sealing all of my big, bulky articles in these great watertight, bug-proof, space-saving space bags. Unfortunately, I discovered that the bags do not hold their vacuum seal very well. The bags leak air, and so I would assume that they probably aren't waterproof either. The garments that I sealed in the bags did remain "squished" to an extent, so they do take up less space, but they certainly don't stay as compact as they look in the picture on the box.Using the vacuum to suck the air out was relatively easy for me (it took longer than I expected, but the "patented one-way valve" seemed to work well initially.) I'm not sure if the leaking is occurring from the valve or from the Ziploc-type seal at the top of the bag. Since two of the bags did not seal properly the first time I closed them, I'm inclined to believe it's the latter.
One final note. . .anything you seal in these bags is going to end up extremely wrinkled, so don't expect to be able to "suck, pack, and wear."

If I could give these bags NO stars, I would.
They are absolute junk.
The biggest defect is the zip-lock. The jumbo bag allows you to store 3 king-size comforters, and that's great. But try getting the zip-lock closed long enough to vac the air out of the bag.....practically impossible. And IF you are lucky enough to get the bag zipped and the air vac'd out, the air-lock leaks. And this problem doesn't just pertain to the jumbo bags, but ALL sizes.
You could stuff 3 king size comforters into a giant trash bag, vac the air out, tape it shut, and get better results, which is just what we ended up doing.
These bags are nothing but a cheap gimmick.
