Tools and Hardware Reviews of Space Bag WBR-5700 Vacuum-Sealing Hanging-Suit Storage Bag

Customer Review: Space Bag WBR-5700 Vacuum-Sealing Hanging-Suit Storage Bag
Summary: 5 Stars

The hanging suit storage bag worked just as advertised. I stored one suit and one tuxedo in it easily. Just handle them with care as the plastic material is fairly easy to puncture or tear (we discovered this previously with a different type vacuum bag).

Good buy!
Saved me a lot of space in my wardrobe and contrary to other reviews my Space Bags arrived in one piece and are still holding strong, no air leakage at all.

Customer Review: Works As Advertised, But Seems Flimsy
Summary: 4 Stars

This item works likes it was described. However, for the money it seemls like it should be made of more durable material.

Customer Review: hmmm...
Summary: 3 Stars

Well, I love the idea of these, but so far they are not working out so great. One of the bags ripped, and the other did not hold it's seal, so it's basically an overpriced garmet bag....will give it one more try...

Customer Review: False Advertising
Summary: 2 Stars

I admit I did not purchase space bags on Amazon. I also admit I didn't buy a garment bag type space bag. When I bought them at a discount store, I was with a neighbor who warned me that they didn't work as advertised, but, I didn't listen. The fact is, after that purchase, I wouldn't even try this bag! My experience has been that they don't stay vacumn-sealed and, as they fill with air over time, they become too "fat" for their hiding places under the bed, etc. I have torn several of these bags trying to get them out from under the bed! Furthermore, the plastic "clip" that opens and closes the top of the bags frequently falls off, making sealing them difficult to say the least! I've also found that they don't hold as much as the T.V. ads would have you think. They are actually difficult to pack with numerous items...even the extra large! Ultimately, because of this, they really don't serve the purpose they tout....saving room! I have several empty bags in my trunk at this time...taking up space uselessly...because packing them is just too much trouble for something as unreliable as these bags. Finally, trying to stack them on a closet shelf is an exercise in frustration since they are slippery and, unless you hire an engineer to stack them, they will slide off the shelf into a cumbersome heap on the floor. It is a great idea, but, one that really doesn't follow through in reality. You're better off with under the bed plastic bins...they actually hold as much or more! For quilts and blankets, I have found that recycling the zippered containers they generally come in when you buy them works as well or better!
