Customer Review: Magnet is attached with weak glue

I've owned two of these. The first one lasted for several years, but then the magnet that holds the towel holder to the fridge peeled off the towel holder. I bought a new one. Apparantly they started using a weaker glue on the newer models. The magnet peeled off again, but this time it was just a matter of months.
I think they should attach the magnet with some recessed rivets or get some stronger, long lasting glue. I'm not going to pay 8 dollars + 5 for shipping every five months for a cheap towel holder.

I have had this item for roughly a month now, and I was very happy with it at first. However, a week ago the paper towel holder fell off the magnet, leaving the magnet on the refrigerator and the foam adhesive on the holder. I tried gluing it back on but that only lasted for two days. I am very disappointed with this product, do not buy! I really wanted to believe all the other reviews I read before I bought this. I really wanted them to be true. I am temporarily bedridden, and have a small refrige next to the bed to keep my water real cold. I planned to put the paper towel holder on the side of the fridge, in easy access. I even put it vertically, so the towels could release even easier.
I had it in place less than four days when it fell, at 2 am...it woke me up. No one had touched it, it was 2am, and the paper towels and holder fell to the floor, but the magnetic strip that was on the back of the holder was now only on the side of the little refrigerator. The glue holding the strip to the back of the product had simply released in the middle of the night. I want to assure you it had nothing to do with the temperature either. It has been hot in Texas in the last several weeks, but I am lucky in that my spouse allows me to keep the thermostat on 70 degrees. So, temperature would not have been a factor.
I am planning to return this item and upgrade to the metal magnetic paper towel holder, at least there is no magnetic strip to come unglued. I had so hoped this wouldn't happen. C'est la vie!!

Do not waste your time or money on this product. The magnet is attached to the back of the holder with only double sided sticky tape. Even with a partial roll of paper towels (only 10-12 left on the roll), the holder separated from the magnet. This did not happen when I was pulling on it, but in the middle of the night, while it was "just holding" the roll! I also had to be very careful about pulling off a towel because I pulled the whole holder off the fridge (this was before it separated from the magnet). What a waste. I would have given this product a "zero" star rating if that had been an option.
