Sprite uses a patented filtration media called KDF Chlorgon that performs well under high water temperature and pH conditions. -- Water Conditions & Purification - March 2001Chlorine is universally used to chemically disinfect water. Not only is chlorine absorbed through the skin, it also vaporizes in the shower, and it's inhaled into the lungs and transferred directly into your blood system. People who drink water containing chlorine have been found to have a higher risk of bladder cancer by researchers. This hand-held shower head combines ease and convenience with the peace of mind from showering in filtered water. This showerhead features a 3-way adjustable massaging spray and a reversible filter cartridge. Included is a 60" reinforced nylon hose and a reinforced mounting bracket. The showerhead height is increased by a full 10", resulting in a healthy and more comfortable shower. Cartridge life has a 3 month rating. Replacement cartridges are available from the manufacturer.
