If you have one of the Stack-On organizers, these dividers are necessary to split the drawers into 1/2's or 1/3's. The organizers used to come with a few dividers free, but if you need more you should buy them.
The other reviewers are correct in that you need to break them apart yourself. I used a box cutter and a steel ruler to score them and then snapped them apart without any problem. I used to work in a sheet metal shop so I just cut a bunch of thin aluminum plates for the same purpose and you can also cut cardboard or buy some thin plastic sheets at the local hardware store to do the same thing.
