Tools and Hardware Reviews of SteamFast SF-407 1500-Watt Fabric SteamerCustomer Review: Great little steamer! Summary: 5 Stars
This replaced a conair steamer that was awkward and difficult to use properly for good results. It was constantly falling over, dripping water constantly. I struggled along with this until the tank started leaking (Thank goodness!)and I replaced it with this Steamfast. This is very fast to heat up, eliminates wrinkles quickly and is easy to move and store. If you like stiffer finish as in starched shirts you probably will want an iron, but this makes the material look great, no shine and much faster than an iron in my opinion. The price is great and It gets easier to use the more I use it and the pressing pad really helps. I am getting another one for my daughter for Christmas.
Customer Review: Great product and more... Summary: 5 Stars
I have owned this steamer for almost a year now. It is such a great product, especially considering the cost. The press pad that comes with the steamer is a big part of what makes it so great. I have not been able to find the press pad anywhere else and can't imagine using the steamer as much as I do without the pad. A piece on my steamer recently broke (the plastic piece that tightens to hold the pole up) and when I called the 800 nubmer for SteamFast they said they would send me a whole new pole for NO COST...and they didn't even ask me for an order number or date of purchase. Great customer service like that says a lot about a product's quality.
Customer Review: Very good steamer for the price Summary: 5 Stars
This steamer has been great so far. It has been a life saver with my work slacks and wrinkle prone shirts, and I haven't even thought of taking out the iron. The tube does get hot, but it's pretty easy not to touch it. Once in awhile, the steam will get a little weak, but if you straighten out the tube, the steam comes out in full force again.
Overall, I am very happy with the purchase. I think the steamer is well worth the price, and its performance lives completely up to my expectations. I love being able to steam my clothes myself instead of sending out to the cleaners or hassling with the iron for less than perfect results.
Customer Review: Best Steamer yet, especially for the price! Summary: 5 Stars
I have owned 2 other popular steamers and this steamer is the best one so far (and the cheapest). Even though it came in a big box, it is dummy proof to assemble. I know the steamer looks flimsy but it works wonders! It heats up quickly, it's quiet and it doesn't spit out hot water like the other ones I have used. The steamer is not short, whomever said that just didn't extend it properly, it is definitely tall enough (I am 5'5 and it's taller than me). I use filter water and this helps with the mildew build up. Don't spend money on buying the water- boil tap water, wait till it cools and pour it in (don't use the bottom of the water)
Customer Review: Make Clothes Look Sharp Quick Summary: 5 Stars
I am a huge fan of my new steamer. I am an old Navy guy that has always ironed his shirts to perfection. This year my girlfriend got me the steamer. At first, I was a little worried about how sharp clothes would look when using the steamer vs. the iron. Much to my surprise, it easily got the wrinkles out and gave the shirt a more natural look than an iron. Also, the wrinkles seemed to stay out of the shirt for longer. Not only have I used it on my dress clothes but also my coats to get smells out and give the coat a better look. I recommend a steamer for anyone. This particular steamer has been great.
