I have had a Step 2 Garden Hopper for years. I needed a second one for our summer home. (I garden in AZ in the winter.) For those of us who cannot stoop or bend over very long, this hopper is invaluable. Without it, because of my bad back, serious gardening would not be possible. The open storage unit under the seat is a great improvement over the original model, where you had to get out all the tools and carry them around yourself or stand up every time you needed to lift the seat to get out a tool. Almost all low and medium height tasks can be accomplished with this stool. You can also use it indoors. It is also an optimal height, itself, for you to return to a standing position. Sometimes you have to reposition by standing up and moving it using the convenient grooved slot. Often you can just glide along your way on the wheels. It can get away from you, but not with you on it, on hilly ground. This can be accommodated for with care. Actually I highly, highly recommend the stool, even for people who only have infrequent mild discomfort when gardening.
