I bought this in January and tried it out in the house waiting for snow to go. The seat is just the right height. Today I took it out where the lawn is bare to clean dried stuff away from plants. It is going to work great and I am so excited I don't have to give up gardening. I am almost 70 and have degenerative disc disease and can't take bending over. This cart will enable me to wheel myself down the rows and weed and pick vegetables. It moved well even in the wet lumpy dead grass. It's just perfect to help me with my gardening hobby. This is one of my favorite garden purchases. It makes weeding and planting much more comfortable and I can work longer. It's lightweight, but sturdy, and not at all cumbersome. I easily grab the handle along with other tools or buckets and take it where I need it. Whether you straddle it or use it as a bench seat it's easy to wheel in 2 directions. However if you need to turn, you need to raise off it a bit and change the direction with your hands. It's sturdy and seems like it will last a long time. I highly recommend this if you are currently squatting, kneeling, or bending while you garden.Customer Review: Had for more than ten years

This is the most wonderful creation and item i've ever bought to do gardening. With a bad back and arthritis i looked for options to get closer to the ground without using knee pads. This gem is just that! My tools are always handy even on storing so I never have to go looking for just the right tool/gloves. It supports your weight although very light to carry and will roll as you manuver planting your flowers or weeding. I've had this for ten years and although my family laughed when I bought it, they embrace using it now because it is so effective!! Like "A Customer" wrote, I'm an old geezer with a bad back among other aches and pains. Very, very difficult for me to get down to low shelves, and most of my lower cabinets are used for long-term storage. So this gets me closer to the ground when needed -- inside, not out. Right now it's standing guard in the kitchen.
It's study enough for me to feel pretty safe with my (slightly) overweight self. That's a lot more important to me than the little storage space. A hinge probably would weaken it.
Now, if only it could lift me back up automatically.

I purchased this little stool with high hopes, and was very pleasantly surprised at how great it is! No more stiff legged, hunched over time after getting up from weeding. It has dramatically reduced my post-gardening ibuprofen consumption! This stool is sturdy enough to sit and scoot across uneven terrain, and stashes gardening tools in its belly for only one trip from the garage. My only complaint is that I have to hunt for it every time I get up, as my kids are quick to abscond with it for back yard races down the hill.
