I purchased this as a gift for my wife, who cultivates a small front garden of flowers and spices, and a small side garden on the side of our house. This device is great, allowing her to move and reach items she needs. I think it is a great device for simple gardening, but I would think larger gardens may be a little larger than this item can handle. However, for small "urban or suburban" gardens, I doubt I could find anything better. I love gardening and was getting to the point where it was getting very painful to sit on the ground and get up. With the Step 2 Garden Hopper Mobile Garden Stool I am enjoying gardening more than ever. Very simple design and very inexpensive. You can store and carry all your garden tools and there's even a slot for a cold drink. Rolls very easily from one spot to the other and you don't even have to get up to do this.
Thank you for making gardening so much more enjoyable for me.

I purchased a Garden Hopper for my father a couple years ago. He raved about it but I never felt the need to get one since I was not having any problems weeding on my hands and knees. Then I took a bad fall. I couldn't figure out how I was going to get all my gardening done. I borrowed Dad's and within 24 hours I had ordered one for myself. So far I am delighted with the Garden Hopper. It is light enough to carry in one hand, yet sturdy enough to sit on comfortably without fear of falling. Since the weather has not been conducive to gardening, I haven't used it outside; however, it has been pretty useful in the house. I have used it to reach items in low cupboards and cabinets which otherwise would have necessitated kneeling down to reach. A boon for "seasoned citizens" who have trouble getting up & down.Customer Review: Thanks goodness I can garden again!

When I recovered from my total knee replacement, the surgeon insisted that I should never ever kneel for any extended time. How does one garden without kneeling? By using the Step2 5A0000 Garden Hopper Mobile Garden Stool. I have no problem getting up and down, it is easy to carry, and I can put my gloves and tools in the storage area that is easily accessible. I have yet to use the water bottle holder but that might be useful also. Yeah, I am back in the garden!
