I recently moved to an older rental. It even has an old fashioned fuse box. The water pressure here is horrible. I thought I'd have to join a health club to get a decent shower... but this little showerhead is somehow able to turn the weak water pressure into a wonderful skin smacking shower! I mean, the water really blasts (I also took out the water saver device, but that did not help when I did that with other showerheads).
As for the filtration... it is excellent. I have been using this product with good results, but only recently with their showerhead.
I used to have red and itchy skin on my back and stomach.. but not since I started using this product.

My shower filter arrived in the original packaging, installed in less than 10 minutes and works just fine. The water feels softer, and my wife thinks it has improved the condition of our hair and skin (men, you know we can't tell the freaking difference!).
I was concerned with water temperature, since I read somewhere else that the maximum temperature allowed would be the low 90s - not hot enough. But after contacting Aquasana I was informed that the maximum temperature is 125F (more than enough); and the filter does come with a sticker stating an average of 115F.
We think it works so well that we are ordering a second one for the second bathroom.

After much research on the Internet, I came to the conclusion that this unit from Zoe Industries is the best bang for the buck. Having used a cheaper unit from one of the big name hardware stores and finding it totally inadequate, we purchased this unit through Amazon.com. It came with a new adjustable showerhead that puts out a wonderful spray pattern. The unit was easy to install and we no longer detect any smell of chlorine in the water. The replacable cartridge is an easy twist task without tools. I'm confident it will last as long as any unit in or even above it's price range. NO MORE DRY ITCHY SKIN!!! Get one and you'll be singing too.Customer Review: Aquasana is a great product.

After three years of using Aquasana filters i am still very pleased. I have never had a plastic crack because my water pressure isnt high, but its not low either. I never smell or taste chlorine when i shower and the fact that it is large means its a heavy duty filter that lasts a long time.
I am single and it lasts me almost a year or more. Also i have a flimsy shower pipe and it has held up fine, i just cant hang a caddy on it too. Ive seen people trying to say all sorts of bad things but they just dont hold up to the ultimate reason to buy this filter. It does what it is designed to do and well.

Aquasana makes excellent products to counteract the negative effects of chlorine and other things in our water supply. They also have a chloramine filter available if your city's water uses chlorine and ammonia.
One caveat- you must have basic manual dexterity skills to install the filters. Aquasana is very patient and they provide good support, but you had better be prepared to have someone else install the filter if you lack basic manual dexterity.
I highly recommend their shower filters.
