Customer Review: Pretty doggone handy, but wheels are on only one side. Summary: 4 Stars
The subject line sums it up here, meaning this storage box is pretty doggone handy, but I did not realize the wheels are on only one side of the storage box, not both. It makes it easier to drag it around, but it'd be nice if there were wheels on BOTH ends. It couldn't cost them that much more to take that leap in my view. However, I got A LOT of stuff in this bench, managing to clear out my laundry area so I could actually put laundry there, not everything else. Among the items that are now comfortably relegated to this storage bench are a drill, couple of saws, socket wrenches, two small tool boxes and one bigger one, two 20-pound bags of dry dogfood, assorted dog treats, leashes, flea collars and repellants, and three paint recpetacles and inumerable paint rollers, brushes, et cetera. I have room to put more in there if I choose. ... It's held far, far more than I dreamed it would. I am quite satisfied. It really was no-tool assembly, too, which I really didn't expect either. This was a good investment, I think, and it was free shipping. I'd recommend this one. Do note, however, that it doesn't lock, so don't put anything in it of huge value. The only thing that keeps this from being five stars versus four is the fact that there are two wheels for rolling, not four. My back needs four. :)
Customer Review: Good and Bad Summary: 4 Stars
Attractive box, lid attachment holes not so good. Closure tab needs inprovement. I hope it stays shut in the wind. Wheels only work well on concrete and are only on one side. Got my box today in great time, to replace an old Rubbermaid storage box. Three of the hinge holes on the lid were cracked. I called Suncast and they are sending a new lid at no cost. Even with the hinge holes cracked it was really hard to get the lid attached at the hinges. As one person wrote, you need lots of patience to get it on right...so true. Others should check to make sure the hinge hole tabs didn't crack while attaching the lid. Other than that I'm pleased with the purchase, and would recommend it to others but, would caution them when attachig the lid. TAKE YOUR TIME and don't crack the hole tabs. Oleshoeleather
Customer Review: great value for the price Summary: 4 Stars
I recently purchased this deck box for the barn to keep my horseback riding gear in. The 73-gal size is big enough to hold my stuff plus that of my two daughters (that's 2 pairs of tall boots, 2 pairs of paddock boots, 3 helmets, various cleaning supplies and other tack with plenty of room left). The reason I chose this particular box was the fact that it had a domed lid, which keeps water from accumulating on top like it would on a flat lid or one with a rim around the edges. There's nothing worse than sitting down to put on your boots and ending up with a wet rear.... :-( The missing 5th star is due to the fact that the wheels are not nearly strong enough to bear a lot of weight (probably not a problem if you only store chair cushions in it). Overall a great purchase!
