I like this brand and it is a decent value compared to a garden center but probably close to the price you would pay at a Lowe's or Home Depot. I prefer Dolomitic Lime over Hydrated Lime and it is much safer for your plants to use Dolomitic Lime. Use it sparingly to raise the ph of your soil, the idea is to help your soil become balanced. It is best to mix a small amount into your soil mixture for ongoing benefit, but you may top dress with it for immediate effect if needed. This particular variety of Dolomitic lime is pulverized to a fine sand like texture and size. I would recommend pelletized Dolomitic Lime for most applications and for individuals who are not used to using lime to help balance soil. This version is great for more compacted soil, regular use situations, and for immediate top dressing benefits.
