These little LED Lights are a big improvement over the Tap Lights from a few years ago. You can mount them almost anywhere, and they are less intrusive than the Tap Lights. They also provide brighter light.
I installed several in my mom's house, and she didn't even realize they were there, until a recent power outage. She was looking for a flashlight and I told her where I had installed the LED lights and she did not need the flashlight.
I installed a couple in my car under the glove box, and in trunk. The low profile makes them look almost like a factory intalled courtesy light.
My only complaint is the battery installation. Reuires use of a small philips screwdriver and you have to remove the light from the surface you have it installed on to replace batteries, which also means you weaken the holding strength of the adhesive backing, you may have to use a glue or double sided tape to reattach the light have you move it several times.
Target sells a similar light( As Seen on TV) that twist off the mounting bracket so you can change the batteries. This is more conveinient design, but it also increases the profile of the entire light. ( not always good in tight spaces) The Target model also only has 1 LED and not 3 like this one, and the Target model does not come with batteries.
These are great emergency lights or lights just to add light in a dark cabinet or closet. I have them all over the house.
The battery life is advertised at over 100 hours per set. I have not tested that claim. They just work when I need them. These lights also come with batteries already installed, so that makes this a pretty good value, and they do come in different colors so they can accent different types of decor.
I would have given this product 5 stars had it not been for the battery installation issue.

I ordered a few of these for my daughter as she enjoys lights and decorating. They are simple to hang up and have the 3M technology as far as adhesive goes so can be removed from the wall/closet/desk without leaving any residue. You can also replace the sticky just by getting a sheet of the 3M command strips. The battery also looks easy to replace though ours is still going so I'm not sure. We also haven't dealt with any burnt lights but I'm thinking it'd be cheaper/easier to just replace the whole thing!
This comes in many colors so can match any room if you're putting these in the open. They are easy to push to use and are surprisingly bright for being so small. They light up a closet very well. After buying 2 different colors separately and receiving them, I ended up ordering a pack of 5.

The Sylvania DOT lights are wonderful- they are powerful, sturdy, and very compact in size. The 3 lamp design creates a much brighter display than any other similar product, and the variety of color options pleases most.
The negatives are few: The adhesive back makes changing the battery a pain, as the case anchors are very small screws. The unit must be ripped from the surface it is attached to to access them, and then you need a tiny philips head screwdriver...
The other minor detail is that the light is a spot rather than a flood- very well concentrated- like a flashlight beam. It'd have been nice to offer a diffuse light for areas that need light in wide areas.
All in all, these things are pretty good for the money- I'd buy 'em again.
