Tools and Hardware Reviews of The ARC Curved Shower Bar, Stainless SteelCustomer Review: Clean looking and functional. Summary: 4 Stars
After seeing the ARC at a motel in California, I went looking for one. The rod is very clean looking and easy to install. It is sturdy and does not slip and slide as other curtain rods are prone to do. Because it arcs away from the shower, it makes the shower feel bigger. It works best with regular shower rings and curtain.
Customer Review: arc rod Summary: 4 Stars
I could not use this arc rod since it would not fit for the nonstandard shower opening I have. It is an attractive rod, and would suit a standard opening quite well, and offers an unique design instead of the typical round rods.Since it is not adjustable, the opening must suit the size.
Customer Review: Good Product. Summary: 3 Stars
Bought this product after reading several reviews. I put it in the guest bath with a five foot tub. Since this was a new home, I had no reference points to help install this item. It took about an hour. It turned out great and I was pleased. It was just what I was looking for.
I tried the other one (I ordered 2) in my master shower stall. I cut the bar to fit, only to realize the 'arc' made the shower curtain stay outside the shower, thus getting the floor wet.
I recommend this product for tubs/showers with more than a 6 inch lip on the tub/shower.
Customer Review: The Arc Shower System Summary: 3 Stars
I replaced shower doors in a corner shower with the Arc System. This system gives my wife and I more room to get in and out and in the shower. I used the hookless shower curtains that go with this system. One downside is the limited selection of outer curtains
Customer Review: You need to DRILL into your wall (or tile) to install this! Summary: 1 Stars
The product arrives without any good directions and unfortunately requires that you drill into your bathroom/shower walls to install it. We have a tiled shower, and I don't want to drill holes in the tile to install an a shower "arc". Our previous Wal-Mart grade shower bar has rubber ends and adjusts to securely fit in our shower. I wish Amazon would have provided a better warning as to the nature of the installation before advertising this product so aggressively. I guess this falls into the "seemed like a good idea at the time" category. If they could have developed an adhesive based alternative to securing the bar ends, then maybe I could have given it a bona fide try. Too bad.
