Tools and Hardware Reviews of Infinity Razor- Men's razor

Customer Review: Works Great
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased these razors. Reading the directions makes all the difference. The product works great when held correctly. If it's pulling, you're holding it wrong! Give this product a try. I really works great!

Customer Review: Awful, except the price
Summary: 2 Stars

Well, what does one expect for ten bucks? Answer: worth the risk of trying. The amount of triple-blade refills you can get for $10, and the length of time you use them up -- is that better or worse than this Infinity thing? As for sharpness, the unscientific comparison is to the edge of a new brick. In Latin, they would say something like, "it grinds the hell out of your face." So, what's the recommendation? I say use this Infinity thing a day after you have used a real razor, and it does OK. Otherwise, use lots of hot water and shaving cream. If it lasts until infinity with the same quality edge, at least you get endurance.

Customer Review: Sharp Blade, Bad Shave
Summary: 2 Stars

I have been using the Gillette Fusion (manual) razor for over a year. The replacement blades now cost over $12.00. Along comes the Infinity razor. Boy, now I'm going to save some money.

To my great disappointment, The Infinity razor does not give as close a shave as the Fusion and it's is an extremely less comfortable shave.

To the makers of Infinity:

1. Make the blade a tad longer.
2. Add one or two blades (the Fusion has 4)
3. Straighten the handle. It's difficult to hold

Needless to say, I have gone back to the Fusion and have shelved the Infinity.

Customer Review: rough cut
Summary: 2 Stars

this item will cut, but it takes longer too shave compared to the usual razor.I don't really think it will last forever due to the fact it might get toss out.

Customer Review: Worse than worthless-- probably a little hazardous
Summary: 1 Stars

Just got one at a factory seconds store, thinking "How bad can it be?" Ooof. Now I know.

Now, perhaps there is more than one version of this product, and perhaps I got one that was in a bad batch-- that being the case, then quality-control is non-existent.

With my first shave the twin-blades felt more dull and grabby than my dullest trac-ii. It may be true that this blade will never get any more dull than it is-- partly because I'm only going to use it once or twice, and it might be at that point where it has reached the maximum dullness where it can still be considered a "blade".

There are other little factors that would be worthy of attention if the blades were not the main issue. For example, there are no channels for water to flush the shaved hairs out, so it takes more effort to rinse out. The handle is a unique curved shape, with smooth plastic. Combine this smooth plastic handle with some soap or shaving cream and I literally could not hold onto it, much less control it.

Ultimately, I think this product was poorly designed, never tested in a prototype phase (or the testers were not able to be honest-- (e.g., dad, uncle, step-son?) It borders on being dangerous to use. It is quite literally the MOST DISAPPOINTING PRODUCT I have purchased in many years. Whatever, it was $7. I'm not even mad. I'll call it a learning experience. Too bad, though. I think a longer-lasting blade would be a desirable item, but this ain't it.
