I was looking for a door alarm that was easy to use. Techko S184 is that. The sounds it puts out are loud, but you have a choice to switch it off before it hurts your ears or wakes your dogs. I would have rested easier if I had bought this sooner. If you use the "chime" which is really not a chime, when you turn it off, switch the switch to the bottom (which is the alarm) and it gives you a few seconds to look where off is, which is in the middle. I leave one of them on all the time on a door we don't use. It is very sensitive, but isn't that what you want?Customer Review: Door Alarm

We bought two of these alarms. They fit nicely over the knob and the sound is not obnoxious (we use the chime setting.) Its quick to respond to vibrations from the door being opened. These are inexpensive by comparison to other products on the market. I ordered 3 of the Techko S184 portable door knob guard and like them very much. They are not expensive and really do the job well...I have them on all of my outside doors and they do work. I ordered from Amazon and received them in good order and they came fast. the batteries are very easy to install and the product works very good.Customer Review: Very sensitive

This is a great product, very sensitive. Unfortunately it is too sensitive for me, since i live in an appartment complex, and even my my neighbour slams their door, this thing goes off. But other than that, I think its the bext product out there for someone who is not in an appartment building. Oh yeah, its VERY louod too.Customer Review: Great but not "Perfect"

i bought a couple of differnt types to experiment, and this 1 is the loudest most ear piercing 1 of the bunch...i hang it on my sliding glass door arm brace, and there is NO way someone is getting in without making alot of racket...the only thing that keep its from being perfect is that the knob hook is a hard plastic, and you can't use it with door knob braces, you have to use an alrm that hangs with a chain or soft cord
