For some reason--call it bad luck, global warming, a mean prank--this year my house has been plagued with thousands tiny ants. They were everywhere, streaming in from under doorways, windows, floorboards. The only thing I could find that was attracting them was cat food, which I keep in a large tin with a lid, so I started putting the food in plastic containers, inside larger plastic containers--anyway--it was Biblical. After tying noxious sprays, two other bait traps, and several "old timey concoctions", I tried the Terro Traps. I plopped the traps right in the middle of the teaming hoards as they tried to get in under a screen door and a window, which is another part of the house. They took to it almost immediately. They gorged themselves--slurp, slurp, slurp. I watched my little Jonestowns, still not confident that it would kill them (in fact, it crossed my mind that I was actually FEEDING them). I let it do its job, and about 8 hours later, the masses had diminished. The next morning they were gone. Other than a few dozen sticky little corpses plastered on the inside of the trap, I did not see a single ant. That was a week ago. Will they be back?? Maybe. I have 9 traps strategically placed inside and outside the house and 3 more boxes of traps in hand in case they do come back. For now, I am very, very pleased.
