Easy to install. Pull out appliance. Place two "sliding pads" under rear feet and slide applicance back into position. Then, place front feet.
These pads did a better job of quieting the dryer than the washer when listening to the appliances on the same floor. That is likely due to the amount of air-borne energy produced by the devices as the washer is loud due to the churning of the water and the sound of the motor.
Some reviewers are expecting miracles for $40. The pads do what they can for the price of a rubber-like hockey puck that is 1" thick. Additional floor dampening is possible with the installation of a rubber floor mat. Additional air-borne sound dampening can be had with the installation of a heavier door and/or some adhesive sound mats such as DynaMat.

This saved my sanity and my washing machine. We've had a front loading HE machine in a second floor laundry room for a few years now. Everytime it was loaded with something heavier than baby clothing, it would shake and vibrate half the house. It was so bad that it cracked some of the plaster in the room next to the laundry room. I was considering selling the washing machine and buying a top loader, but decided to give these a chance first. After installing the feet (took just a few minutes, would have been faster if I had someone to help me) I loaded the machine with some jeans to see what it would do. This has COMPLETELY eliminated the house shaking. I highly recommend to anyone trying to solve this problem.Customer Review: Why did I wait so long???

Before I bought this item, I wondered why people would pay so much for what looked like 4 rubber feet for an appliance. After using the product for a few weeks, I wonder why I waited so long. While there is still some vibration, the difference is beyond night and day. I will save much more than the purchase price in damage (things falling off shelf etc) and wasted time repositioning the washer. As an aside, I had a Sears service technician onsite (repairing a different appliance) and I asked him about these products......he told me that they do indeed work well and the ones that Sears sells are at least $10 more. So in the end, if the benefit exceeds the cost, it is still a good deal. Highly recommend.Customer Review: SIlent feet makes for a happy laundry room!

We had to replace a stack washer/dryer in our beach cottage recently and were warned about the new high spin front loading washing machines and dangerous vibrations that can occur. While many improvements have been made in washers, these Silent Feet added to the installation made the spin cycle into a "no hear, no feel" cycle! Standing right next to the machine doing its high speed thing, you had to place your hand on the washer to actually detect the high energy being used! I am amazed! Well worth the price and easy to install. We recommend this product over all others we have tried! My front-load washer (raised on attached pedestal) is perfectly level but it was "walking" several inches across the tile floor during large loads. It is installed in a tight space and the movement was causing annoying consequences like blocking the doors, hitting the pipes, etc. I put the pads under it and the problem is gone. Last night I watched a big unbalanced load shake the washer side to side like a tower in an earthquake, but the feet did not move a millimeter. Things are quieter too now. Great product, well worth the price for me.
