it was a joke between us that my friend had a beat up wooden ruler on her work desk -and even though it had a sharp metal edge and was full of splinters - she needed a ruler so she used it A LOT - the JOKE was that at least she could rely on having this beat up wooden ruler since it was so bad no one else would want it. Then one day someone walked off with it !
as a holiday "laugh" I sent her this nice acrylic magnifying ruler and she loves it!
** two of her fellow workers even asked where she got it - they HAD to have one of them too -
so I sent them the link!
I would say that what started out as a laugh - turned into a very appreciated gift :)
nice item and good price too !
