Tools and Hardware Reviews of Tricam GOR201B-T1 Gorilla Carts 600-Pounds Capacity Dumping Cart, BlackCustomer Review: Love me some Gorilla Cart! Summary: 5 Stars
I got the cart about 3 weeks ago. Have used it to haul 300lb loads of dirt/soil repeatedly - Would guess about 75-80 loads around my yard for landscaping. Simply attached it to the riding mower and pulled it around - my yard is very bumpy w/hills, rocks, roots, etc and no problem for the cart w/the pneumatic tires. Last week we pulled around three kids in the cart and went around the property - ages 6, 4 and 4. We love this cart. Some reviewers have said the bin is plastic and will eventually crack - well i've abused mine so far w/no damage...and if it does eventually crack, well the base is so solid i'll simply use that and build an even bigger cart out of 2 by's. Highly recommend this cart for hauling plants, dirt, wood, or even a load of kids!
Customer Review: Great cart for the money Summary: 5 Stars
This cart is great. Forget about 600lbs though. That is it's theoretical limit. However it easily holds 200 of dirt which is all you can fit in it without it spilling out. It is a real pain to put together though. The plastic tub is sturdy enough for home garden work and the frame is quite stout.
Note: The box was ripped open (I'm assuming during shipping) and the parts bag was missing. Amazon was extremely helpful in resolving the issue with the least hassle as was Tricam (the cart company).
Update 03/31/2010
This thing is still going strong and I have put it through pure h**l. Rocks, sand, dirt, sod, concrete. Ain't no stopping it. The dumping feature has been fantastic to have and has saved a lot of hassle.
Customer Review: Great cart for the money Summary: 5 Stars
I needed a pull cart for various tasks around the yard. This cart fit the bill for less than $100. When I saw the box, my first thought is that it might not be large enough; however, after assembly and using it for a few weeks, it has been very useful. In fact, if it were larger, I may not be able to pull it over the lawn (I have a very hilly yard). I've used it to mix soil and to pick up limbs, etc. The feature that allows it to be attached to a riding lawnmower is very useful, if you have a riding lawnmower. For the money, this is an excellent cart. Assembly takes 30 - 45 minutes and isn't difficult at all. The only problem is that you have to slam the cart down after you dump the contents to be sure that it latches properly.
Customer Review: Excellent Value Summary: 5 Stars
My mom wanted some sort of yard cart for mother's day. This is what I came up with. We plan on filling it with flowers and maybe a few gardening items. It will make an awesome gift. The front wheels turn with the handle, the bed dumps easily, and the tires look like they could go just about anywhere.
This would be great around the yard. As for the size, it stands a little over knee high and I would say the bed is maybe 15-20 gallon capacity... probably 3-4 five gallon buckets worth of capacity. Not huge, but I don't think you'd really be hauling much more than that for the jobs this will do anyway.
Best word to describe this cart is probably rugged.
Customer Review: Great little wagon Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great little wagon! It comes with assembly required, but following the instructions, my 15 year old was able to put it together, so that speaks to how easy it is. The bin doesn't look huge when you first put it together, but once you load it up, it holds more than you expect. We use it to haul around our 15-month-old and groceries, and it does just fine. Even when our older kids get in with our son, we can pull them around okay. The bin does flex alot when legs are hanging over, but with most cargo it seems to hold up fine. All in all, we are very satisfied.
