Customer Review: Gorrilla Cart
Summary: 5 Stars

It was a little hard to put together but it is very sturdy and handy.

Customer Review: Well Made Beefy No
Summary: 4 Stars

I wanted to build my own flat bed wagon. Finding the undercarriage is difficult. I found 2, one at $65 and $240. I settled with this Gorilla cart since it has the same wheel base as the $65 [plus $23 shipping] cart kit from Northern Tool.

600 pounds? Um, no. 300 pounds is pushing the envelope. You can lay 2 100 pound sacks of deer feed in it with the one on top sticking out by half the bag. I couldn't imagine 3 of them let alone 6. If you used it in a building with smooth floors you could do 300 pounds but not possible outside.

The only problems I found are the steering mechanism and handle length. The "tongue" [the part the handle connects to] is it's weakest link. The problem is where it pivots, not at the handle but at the rear of that piece. When you pull or push the handle there is a lot of flexing. As you push to back up, that mechanism is pushed way down due to nothing stopping it from moving. When you pull, it is pulled back up in a vertical motion. If you have ever bent a piece of metal back and forth multiple times you know it'll break. To fix this problem [you can't use a long nut and bolt as it is a pivot point] I used a 1 and a half foot long Very Thick zip strip. Without this addition the steering is certainly subject to damage, with it I find it to be very sturdy.

The other problem is the handle. Short. If you are around 5'8" perfect. I am 6' and have to bend over to pull. I replaced it with a 6' aluminum tube.

The dumping action is impressive. If you move dirt or gravel things of that nature you will enjoy this feature. I would have thought it was a sliding action with metal rails but no. It is a simple easy to use pivot point. Once unlocked the wagon won't just tip back on its own which is good. This is a really cool feature for those who need it.

The plastic tub is very thick and sturdy. I strongly suggest adding large diameter washers to the inside of the tub. The small bolts will cause too much stress and break the plastic.
After the addition I made to this little cart I find it to be very nice light duty wagon. Stable and tough enough. Is it beefy? No. Is it worth 75 bucks? Absolutely!

Customer Review: Nice "little" cart
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased this garden cart for my 6 year old son to pull behind his Polaris 90cc ATV. First of all let me say the assembly took only about 30 minutes but the directions were not the greatest. It is pretty self explanatory where the nuts and bolts go though. I am a little worried about the thickness of the plastic dump body though and worry that the heads of the bolts may pull through. A simple solution for me will be to put washers on both sides of the plastic for the bolts instead of the nut side only. This is a great wagon for kids and small jobs around the house. Do not buy this if you are expecting a wagon that will haul a lot of material. The weight rating is deceiving as you will not be able to get that much material in the wagon due to it's small size. You could probably put 6 pieces of firewood in it to give you an idea or about 15 shovels of dirt. The suspension is well built and I can attest to that as my son takes it across the field behind his ATV and so far, knock on wood, it has held up. He puts just about anything and everything in it and uses bungie cords to keep sticks from bouncing out. If you are pulling behind lawn tractor the bouncing would not be a problem. I would not recommend it for adult ATV's though. The dump feature works great and my 6 year old dumps a full load of dirt or gravel with ease. The handle is a great design also as it can be rotated with the quick pull of a pin. No bolts to loosen and tighten. It can be pulled by hand by rotating around or with the hitch by rotating. Should the plastic body fail and I can see that it might, I will simply make a wooden box and attach it to the frame. This would be very easy to do. All in all I believe this is a great little wagon for the price. I got it for 29.99 with the Amazon rebate and also got free shipping. Hard to beat that price so. This would make a great little hand wagon for children also and would probably last a life time for that use. I will let you know later how it holds up long term to the ATV use.

Customer Review: Great for full-figured cats
Summary: 4 Stars

We had to take our cat Leila to a show for Reubenesque cats. The problem is that we needed some way to transport her. In the past, we've tried wheelbarrows at these shows, but we have found that it's difficult to navigate a traditional wheelbarrow on the show floor and dealers rooms where everyone else has their wheelbarrows and carts. Something we could drag behind us would be much better.

Our first attempt at using a "Radio Flyer" was brief and sad. About halfway through the first day, her weight caused the axel to grind down, and finally one of the wheels sheared off. She poured out of the wagon like a hefty bag full of hot applesauce. A few of the attendees were nice enough to help us get her into the car, and we just had to go back home and missed the rest of the show.

This year we upgraded to the Tricam Gorilla Cart. The payload IS a little smaller than we expected, as other reviewers have commented. We were hoping to have enough room in the cart for her and a weekend's supply of food, but she filled the tub pretty completely, so we just tied the sacks of food on the sides of the cart. It looked sort of like a chuck wagon! We talked about getting a cover for it next year, and maybe putting a giant pair of chaps on Leila.

Anyhow, the cart held up fine. She was below the 600 pound capacity of course, and the cart didn't sag, shatter, warp, or make embarassing creaking noises like the others we'd tried in the past. Sometimes when she was purring, the whole cart sort of vibrated, but it didn't affect its functionality.

My only recommendation might be to make the tub a little larger. She came right up to the rim, and a couple of times when we went around a corner, some of her would "spill out", but we would just grab it and push it back in the cart.

Customer Review: Strength Required For Assembly
Summary: 4 Stars

My wife and I bought this cart for several reasons. We are remodeling and getting ready for some heavy-duty landscaping and thought the 600 lb capacity and the 'dump' feature made it perfect for the task of moving materials from the front of our house to the rear. However, the true test was going to be moving 2 cords of wood that were going to be delivered the Monday after we ordered it. I ordered it with Prime on a Friday at 2:30 and it was in my wife's hands Monday by noon. She attempted to assemble the cart on her own, her mind gets ahead of her 110 lb body sometimes, and failed. The only problems were the close tolerances for the alignment of the various nuts and bolts. Thankfully it only took me about 20 minutes to assemble it and she was off hauling (completely against the manufacturer's instructions and common sense) our 10 year old son around the house. About an hour later we had 2 cords of wood dumped in our driveway and faced what appeared to be an insurmountable task of moving the pile from the front, 100 ft to the back of the house and stacking it into racks. The three of us had it done in under three hours and my wife did all the pulling. It was amazing how smootly the oversized tires went over small dips and divots in the terrain and how stable it was when dumping its cargo. I would highly recommend this product to anyone needing to move heavy, loose items. I would also recommend having someone handy with good hand and upper-body strength to put it together. Once together, it is a very solid cart that is ready for anything.
