My TV is on a nightstand and has no room for the DVD player or the cable. I knew exactly the item I wanted and couldn't find it at Walmart, Target or even Bed, Bath and Beyond. The top of my TV has a very short area, but with the support in the back it works perfectly. This item was brand new, excellent condition, shipped quickly and a good price. I recommend this item to anyone who has a TV with no place for their DVD player. There was also plenty of space to hold some DVD's.Customer Review: Works well

The TV top Shelf arrived quicker than expected. You can either use one shelf or both shelves depending on your needs. It was easy to assemble and does a good and sturdy job of holding my large DVD player and cable box. I was skeptical, but this double shelf really works. It is strong enough to hold a vcr/dvd player or heavy cable boxes. It's adjustable in back, too. It's a great way to keep the electronics up high, away from the dust and dirt of lower shelves.Customer Review: TV Top Shelf

This thing is great for the old tube TV that will be phased out soon and I already have the HDTV but this is great for a spare room if you have this type of TV and works well to hold things on top of the TV.
