Customer Review: Great until it breaks

I had the humidifier for two years and it worked great until now when the mist volume is greatly reduced. Tried new filter and cleaned the oscillator and noticed that the oscillator disc coating is peeling away and needs to be replaced. The problem is that Venta Sonic is based in Germany and outsources the technical and warranty support to A&B distribution. I called and spoke to different reps and they were both useless. Venta Sonic does not have any replacement parts except for the filter and tank. If anything else breaks or needs replacement you are out of luck. Stay away from this company.Customer Review: Poor Quality Construction

When it worked, it humidified well.
However, it didn't work long. The control panel stopped working properly within a few weeks, and the unit was no longer operational. Returned this for a refund.
We bought a different Venta model, simpler without the computerized control panel, and that one failed after one season.
Stay away from Venta products. The construction quality is obviously very poor; nevertheless the company has the nerve to charge over $100 for their badly designed and shoddily constructed doorstops.

I just bought this at BB&B. The directions are quite simple. I soaked the filter in warm water prior to screwing it onto the fill cap. I've tapped for air bubbles, etc... But I've been working on this for about an hour now and I'm not getting any mist and the display is just blinking at me. I've read the whole user manual and will call customer service in the morning. It's just frustrating to read the reviews of other similar Venta humidifier products to see that they seem to work about half of the time.Customer Review: Appearances are deceiving

The first problem was that bright blinking of the front panel. even after it emitted steam nicely (briefly), I woke to annoying blinking from across the room. must it blink??!
It never went near 50 percent humidity i set it on.
The worst part is- little did i realize after only a few uses it was leaking. A LOT. TO THE FLOOR BELOW. (all the while i'm thinking it ran out of water for doing it's job.)
Bad bad bad. Oh yeah, the company does not answer calls...

This unit has a lot of great features, but after I'd been using it for about two weeks, it began spewing white dust everywhere. I had to clean my ionic air purifier every day. What makes this so mystifying is that we don't even have very hard water here! I tried contacting the company to see what they recommended to correct the issue, but got no response. I tried giving the unit a thorough cleaning, but that didn't help. This one went right back to the store!
