Description of Chamber Clean Kit
Chamber Clean solution is filtered to less than 0.2 micron, 40 times smaller than 8 micron pixel size. Visible Dust does not recommend using other cleaning solutions which may contaminate the sensor. Water molecules on the CCD surface reduces static charges. One of the biggest complaints about the Canon 5D is the amount of dust that collects on the sensor. Mine was no exception. I regularly used a rocket blower, but was still unable to get my sensor clean. I hesitated to go any further, concerned that I would damage my sensor if I tried to do it myself.
After reading a review on The Luminous Landscape, I decided to give Visible Dust a try. Am I glad I did! My sensor is now spotless! The process is fairly simple, although the directions leave a little to be desired. There is a photocopied sheet that comes with the kit, with directions on the use of each product contained in it. I had to look at the box of one of the products in the kit to figure out the recommended order for the use of the products. That, however, is my only complaint. The rest of the kit is nicely packaged, and as I said, really works great. I highly recommend this product!
