I bought this pan based on the Cooks Illustrated recommendation, but I was a little worried about the conflicting reviews. Not sure if problems originate with quality control, or if Next Day Gourmet "substitutes" product sometimes. In any case I received two of the half-sheet 13 gauge pans today. The wording engraved on the back of the pan is "5314; WEAR-EVER MADE IN USA; NSF/National Sanitation Foundation; 2008-3." There's also a sticker reading "LINCOLN FOODSERVICE PRODUCTS" and a bar code. I'm guessing the sticker is to reassure buyers that the maker is Lincoln Foodservice, which must own Wearever (or vice-versa), since my image of Wearever is that they make really cheap cookware, and the Cooks Illustrated review specified Lincoln Foodservice. Anyway, I immediately preheated the oven to 450 and put the pans in for 25 minutes. They didn't warp, which was my big concern. So I'm hoping Cooks Illustrated is right, and "the search is over." /:o]Customer Review: Great pan... make sure you read before you buy

Okay, so I've read that there have been incorrect shipments, or people getting the wrong product. Michael Brown's review in Jan 09 is spot on. You should be getting the Wear-ever half sheet pan #5314. The link to Lincoln's smallwares is "www(dot)lincolnsmallwares.com/Prod_Detail2.cfm?id=74"
As for the review, ATK is once again on the money for me. I have bought the colander, oxo food scale, forschner chef's knife, garlic press and their cooking and grilling methods. This sheet pan is very good.
The wife baked one of my favorite cookies, peanut butter, and they turned out better than they ever have on this pan. Same with homemade biscuits.
I can see where others may have been disappointed from this product... the sheet pan you get in the Amazon search results will vary depending on word choice. Just an FYI. You may get a Lincoln product, but a lower grade gauge.

I, too, chose the Lincoln Foodservice 1/2 sheet pan based on Cooks Illustrated's review, and I was not disappointed! I got this pan from mvtradingonline, and have had no problems with it at all. I also bought the 1/2 sheet professional crosswire rack that fits perfectly inside it, from Ram kitchen supply here on Amazon. Very sturdy, no warping, and they've held up to just about everything I've thrown at them! Make sure you've got the right pan when you receive it. It should be stamped in the center on the back: No. 5503 Lincoln Wearever. If it isn't, you've got the wrong pan. I just ordered my second set of pan and crosswire rack.I never put any metal or nonstick bakeware or cookware in my dishwasher, only glass. They usually don't need anything but a quick wash & dry.Customer Review: the best !

I love these pans and will order more! They are incredible, and do not warp in the heat of your oven. I use mine for so many purposes. I shopped around, bought a couple different brands, and feel these by Lincoln are the best. Wash by hand or the automatic dishwasher tablets will stain them. (Doesn't reflect on the baking quality.)
A great price for a must have pan in your baking inventory. Like all the chefs tell you, we need about 8 of these. You will be reaching for them all the time. The cooling racks fit perfectly in these for roasting or baking also. Perfect size for so many applications! I bought mine because of Cooks Illustrated reccomended them. I now know why. This is my first ever review, I don't usually bother, but I delayed buying these trays (I bought 2 in the end) because of all the contradicting reviews and I wanted to share my experience. The trays arrived fast, they are stamped on the back with "5314 WEAR -EVER made in the USA". They don't have rolled edges which is great as there is nowhere for food to get stuck, I've used them to make pizza (25 minutes in a 500 degree oven) several times now and they show no signs of warping. They feel sturdy, they are easy to clean and I wish I'd bought them sooner as now I have them I'm not sure how I managed without them.
