Customer Review: Moves Air Down a Hallway

This is an excellent little fan that effectively circulates air around my apartment. I use one to move cool air from the living room into my poorly-ventilated bedroom, where I keep a desktop computer. The stream of air travels several yards down a hallway and through two doorways. The lowest setting is very quiet, and the high setting moves an impressive volume of air. It draws between 35 and 65 watts.
I thought this model would tilt down slightly, but that is not the case. It does not tilt down at all.
Edit: My review previously complained of an incorrect image, but the image on this page is now correct. The fan I received has a single vertical pylon extending from a weighted base.

This is a powerful little machine for a very good price. I love the quality of the Vornados. They are well made and much easier to clean than other fans. The biggest drawback is the noise level when set on the highest setting and that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. The medium and low settings are fine, but if you want a super quiet fan, this is not it.Customer Review: At speed 1 this is not noisy and it gives a nice breeze

Vornado 530B 3 Speed Compact Air Circulator, BlackIt is noisy at 3 but who uses a fan turned all the way up? Altogether it's made good improvement to a room that gets stuffy when it gets the sun in the afternoon and evening. A good little machine, worth the money.Customer Review: Excellent fan

I love these fans. The photo is not exactly like the product I was delivered, but it isn't worth complaining about (the base is different). The only drawback is the fan speed is preset (L, M, H) whereas an older Vornado I have of this same style has a variable speed.Customer Review: Its "Cool"

Purchased for a dorm room, actually creates the breeze mentioned on the box as it strikes the opposite wall, moves lots of air for a little fan and is quiet while doing it.
