Customer Review: Best little desk fan!

I LOVE this fan. I have been using it for months now and it is the best little desk fan. It is extremely quiet, so much that I forget it is on and leave work to come back into my office the next day and it is spinning away. Two settings are perfect. The low setting creates the perfect cool breeze. The higher setting, which I don't use as much, creates a nice quiet wind. It is compact to fit on my desk right between my monitor and telephone. I can reach over it to turn it off without having to worry about the blades since the blades are nothing but pieces of nylon material flapping around. What a neat concept!
If needed, you can hang it from the stand and use it anywhere. I highly recommend this item.

I am one of those people that is always a bit hot, so I have had a desktop fan at my office for years. My last one died, so I went looking for one that would provide a slight breeze to keep me cool all day, but not make me cold or make noise. I was a bit concerned from the reviews that this might not have enough power to keep me cool, but it is great even on the low setting. It sits on my desk in my cubicle about 2-3 feet from me. I rarely use the high setting.
I would recommend it for the office setting if you want a quiet fan that will sit a couple feet away from you - it is quiet enought to leave on all day, even during conf calls on speakerphone.

I was looking for a discreet desk fan that would quietly give me relief from a momentary hot flash. This fan is it. The size is great. It's quiet. It produces just enough of a breeze to help me get back to comfortable, even on slow speed. I was worried that the fabric blades wouldn't produce and didn't think I needed them for safety. I was wrong on both counts. They produce sufficient cooling air movement and the first time I turned the fan on I inadvertently stuck my finger through the blades. Lucky they're harmless. I was slightly concerned about the two-handed operation referred to in many reviews. It's not a problem

This is an excellent product. I originally got two for home, one for my study and one for the bedroom and when they arrived and I tried them out I immediately ordered another two, one for my desk at work and one for my wife. Not the most powerful fan in the world, but not marketed as such, it is very quiet and perfectly sufficient as a personal desk fan. It is in fact so quiet that (like me) you will likely completely forget it is there and reaching past it for something will get a shock when is soft fabric 'blades' hit your hand/arm... This doesn't hurt at all but is quite startling. I thoroughly recommend this product!Customer Review: Perfect for cooling electronic components

I have two home theater receivers that get pretty warm when powered on. These fans are perfect to set up behind these units and plug into their "switched" outlets in the back. When the receivers are turned on, the fans automatically come on and keep them cool. My receivers are in a wall unit and these fans sit behind them (I chose the black color, so you can hardly even see them) and are so quiet you hardly even notice them. I am not sure they would be strong enough for my taste to function as a desk top fan, what they are really desiged for, but they are a perfect choice for what I bought them for.
