This wick is right on, as wicks go, UNLESS you do what I've done - leave the Vornado on, just chugging away when the unit is empty. After awhile no humidity can escape the dried out wick and it takes 3 or 4 days to empty the unit when one day is the norm! I have two of these humidifiers. Easy to fill with two tanks, relatively quiet operation. I always buy new wicks every fall as they seem to get dusty and concentrate salt from my water softener. For the price and job it does, still haven't found anything better. My only issues is buying these wicks every season, but thats the price for having a humidifier that doesn't leave condensation or contribute to mold growth in your house!
