I live in an old drafty icebox of a house built in the 1930's. Even when I run my gas heater, it doesn't do much good. I needed a space heater, and bad! I was wary of buying a space heater as I figured it couldn't help, but I'm glad I got this one! I read the instructions, followed their recommendations
for a large room and in about 15 minutes it took the chill off and made it so much more comfortable! It even reached into the surrounding hallway and dining room. I'm quite pleased. As a pet owner, I also appreciate the smaller vents that keep curious kitty cat's out of the heater. My cats all congregate by it and there's no way for them to get inside of it.

I love my Vornado. Living in Southern California you might not think that you need a heater, but the winter nights can be downright frigid.I bought one for myself as I get cold easily. It is so popular in my house that it's the first thing my sister wants when she's visiting, also my son when he's home from college. It takes the chill off of a room instantly and can warm the whole room in about 15 minutes.It is not hot to the touch,is pet friendly, and seems very safe to use. We are saving energy by using the Vornado instaed of heating the whole house.This heater has really added to the quality of our lives. I live in an old house built at the turn of last century. The vornados do exactly what they say they do. By placing them strategically in cooler areas of the house they even out the temperature of the rooms and I love them. We have three now. One I've been using for three years. One has arrived and is a bit noisy, I should point out that the others are rather quiet and constant. I've also noticed that my overall expense on electric and fuel oil is lower now that I'm not using the ceramic heaters. I highly recommend these heaters if you are looking to even the temperature of your drafty old house with cold spots!Customer Review: The perfect winter companion

This is the second Vornado we have purchased. We've had our first one for about 10 years now. We use it in our basement rec room in the winter months when any of us are watching television or working at the computer. Warms up the whole area in a very short time. You realize how well it's working when you go to another part of the house and feel the temperature drop. We recently purchased another one as a Christmas gift for my 85-year-old mother, who is cold all the time. She loves it! Her house is really drafty and cold, and the Vornado VH2 Vortex Heater makes her family room nice and warm.Customer Review: Cozy heater

I bought two vornado heaters, one for a cold upstairs bedroom and one for my basement which I have fixed into a family room. They are kind of small, so I did not think it would be able to keep my basement warm, but I was surprised to see that it worked very well. I keep the one in the basement on all the time on low heat and it and keeps the room pretty cozy. On real cold days I could put on high heat and that's when it really gets kicks in and heats up the basement very well, but I have only had it on high one time. Low heat seems to work good enough so I can conserve energy.
