This is without a doubt the best electric room heater I have ever used. Because of the vortex, the area in front of the heater seems cool and you wonder if it's working. But somehow or other it it heats up the whole room (rather quickly), instead of just the area in front of it. It's really a wonderful heater. Yep it's a tad expensive; but it's really worth it. The Vornado VH2 looks nice, is quiet, and does an outstanding job. Prices really vary a lot and you can easily pay way too much - but Amazon has great comparative pricing, and can help you save a bundle!Customer Review: GREAT PRODUCT!

Not sure if there was a faulty batch that other people here received, but this will be the 3rd season using this product.. and it is the perfect answer to heating up a small room quickly. A Large room does indeed take more time, especially if there are open doors or wide openings in the room. It is not meant to be on 24 hours a day so maybe thats why other people are having trouble. The internal thermostat ensures you won't be wasting any more energy than you need to. About to buy my 2nd one right now..Customer Review: Warm at Last!!!

This heater changed our lives this winter. We have an old house built in 1881 in Chicago. Though we love the high ceilings and character, our heat bills were outrageous before we got a Vornado room heater. Now, we keep the house at a modest heat but warm the TV room with a Vornado heater. It is quiet and keeps the room we occupy most after long work days warm and toasty. Thank you for a great product. I was looking for a personal size heater made in the USA. It was unbelievably hard to locate one that wasn't made in China. Finally, I found the Vornado online. I bought 2 and guess what? They are GREAT! They are the best little heaters I have ever bought. They are light weight, very quiet and quickly heat up the whole room. It's amazing. Yeah, buy USA!

I bought this as a gift for my mother in law. She has a new house with very high vaulted ceilings. We were trying to save on heat while still staying warm. She says she hasn't turned the vornado off since Christmas. It fills her great room with even heat and she loves it .The vornado is very quiet and cool to the touch. It is very easy to operate and we are both glad I bought it.
