Tools and Hardware Reviews of Air Supply Mini-Mate Personal Ionic Air Purifier--ClearCustomer Review: Wonderful product Summary: 5 Stars
Wow! First time in years that I have not gotten sick (cold, sore throat, etc.) when I have taken a flight. I was skeptical - but it really did work. I also tried it when the smoke from the fires 350 miles away filled our office - and it helped then, too!
Customer Review: Wein personal air purifier - no ozone smell Summary: 5 Stars
Looked all over and finally decided on this one.
Glad I did, for the air flow is so clean/pure to breathe.
Have to know what you want in this kind of device, but
I think this one is great!
Customer Review: Good product Summary: 5 Stars
This portable air purifier was recommended to me by my doctor due to sensitivities to perfume. It gives me extra confidence in places where people congregate.
Customer Review: No more travel germs! Summary: 4 Stars
Bought two of these about a year ago for my husband and I. We travel quite a bit overseas for his job. We both would always wind up catching some nasty cold or worse on the plane until we started wearing these. Neither of us have gotten sick at all since we bought these and have been on about 6 Trans-Atlantic flights! After about an 18 hour travel day the battery is pretty much dead. So we have to change it out each time. The batteries are CR123A, which are about $17 for a two pack. A bit pricey, but sooo worth it to not be sick. I only gave this a 4 star because I do get some very odd looks when I have this around my neck on the plane. It probably wouldnt be as noticeable, except for the fact that the Clear Shell on mine shows a blinking light when it's on. Every single flight somebody says "um...whats that"? I can only imagine what they think! I highly recommend this, but try to buy the all black and not the clear! You wont regret it, if you get sick when you travel!!
Customer Review: Happy little 'Ion Mate': Travel protection Summary: 4 Stars
I have been wanting one of these for a long time and FINALLY ordered it on the eve of a longish trip with different travel-legs (flights) just after having had an unusually persistent cold (3 weeks) AND the Swine Flu panic was in full-swing. I wasn't buying into the health-tsunami media frenzy, but I DID feel some positive effects of the Air Purifier while immersed in stale 'plane air'- if only a sense of 'protection' and freshness with the ion stream. It also seemed to slightly soften the after-effects I typically get from the altitude changes after making such trip. Am happy i got it and so far battery life seems reasonably good. (Local battery shop told me not to bother with rechargeables in this particular size; says they are not very cost effective or long-lasting.)
