I bought this rope to be used as a theater prop. I cannot really judge many properties, such as strength, durability, etc. For what I needed it , it served my purposes just fine. I had to make it look old, so I "dyed" it by submerging in concentrated tea. The rope almost doubled in diameter and shortened quite a bit, which is probably what you will expect if it get soaked. It did take the color perfectly, showing that it is made completely of natural fibers.
