I bought 2 of these after searching for bedside lamps with dimmers, etc, to no avail. I set up one on each side of our bed. We can turn on a lamp just enough to find tissues, etc, or bright enough to read without disturbing each other. No clicking on and off - and no more waking each other up with the touch-lamp which has to cycle up to full light before going off. I also like that there's a tiny red light on the unit which helps to locate it in the dark. Bought TWO of these for the same price as ONE at the local hardware store! A great invention!!
