I cannot stand most bottled water. It tastes metallic to me. I don't know anything about impurities and chemicals and all that. All I care about is taste. I like my water tasteless, meaning without a metallic after taste. Evian works for me, but is too expensive. My Whirlpool refrigerator is equipped to accept this filter for the ice maker and water dispensing functions. The filter does an excellent job of delivering crystal clear, clean tasting water for both these purposes. Freaked out at the price of water filters at Sears and every where else. Checked Amazon and ordered a two-pack. Filters arrived in just a few days. We purchased these for a Kenmore from Sears. The price there has increased to the point this was a much better value.
These have the same level of filtration as the Sears brand and function the same. The taste and clarity of the water is noticeably better.
Will purchase again.

I had a good experience with this vendor. I recommned this product. I have had problems with other filters leaving an after-taste in the water even a few days after installing it. That has not been the case with these filters. Water tastes good immediately after installing the filter.
