When I moved into a house that had been rented for many years, the dishwasher was a high-priority item for cleaning. I spent five hours one day and three the next cleaning it with all kinds of cleansers and bleach trying to remove years of scum and hard water stains. It was better, but not good. The discoloration of the dishwasher - and the smell of the disposal - became something I had to live with. I was ready to purchase a new silverware basket due to its stains and discoloration.
Then I discovered Affresh. One use, and it took care of 90 percent of the leftover stains and solved the bad smell of the disposal. I use Affresh every few weeks in my disposal and dishwasher with excellent results: once clean, it keeps it clean and odor free. I use the washer version of Affresh for my HE Whirpool washer. Couldn't have found a better product.
