I haven't taken the time to write a product review before, but this product is so amazing for so many reasons, it has inspired me to take that first step. It's very important to me to buy household products that are not harmful to animals or the environment, so that's what sold me on this product at first. But more to the point for many consumers is its effectiveness, and it really works, instantly. I've had a few ant infestations this summer (as have several other friends & family members in the area), and each time I've been able to wipe out the entire swarm in minutes with this stuff. One of the other reviews mentioned that it's very important to shake it well, which is true, and it says that right on the can. But after I shake it well and spray directly on the little varmints, they die literally in seconds. And they do not come back to the same spot, so the mint oil seems to work as a repellent as well. I feel safe using it around my cat's food bowls (although I make sure it doesn't spray directly into her bowls), and surprisingly, she doesn't even seem to mind the minty smell! (Cats are picky about these things.) I have a very old cat and wouldn't think of spraying poison anywhere inside my house, but it's not necessary with this wonderful, natural product. Many of us have been convinced by marketing that we must fill our houses and gardens with poisons to control pests, but products like this happily disprove that myth.
