Only sensitive with Sony or Sharp CCD Camera and lots of IP CMOS camera do not work with 850nm wavelength.Allow your camera to see in total darkness. This is a simple and effective way of discreetly illuminating an area (up to 50 feet in distance) where monochrome cameras are operating in the dark. Simply power the unit and position it in the direction of images being viewed and you will turn night into day for the camera. I am giving this 5 STAR because the Seller Ben Yang is a really good man.
We discovered that if you use Hi AMP Power supply that the IR30 will draw a lot of current, which make the IR30 hot and if in long use can cause LED's to burn out.
Which in my professional opinion is the fault of manufacturing to keep price low.
So the goal here is to buy the adapter from Mr. Yang when you buy the IR30 and you will have no problem of over heating. This item does sufficiently at 12VDC/.500MA.
So if you want a good deal and you use adapter, in my opinion this works fine up to 30 feet, depending on your conditions. the darker it is the more bright the IR30 is.
I used one of mine on a closed in porch and had it set on my car, so my security camera could pick it up and it lit up my car great. Of course you have to be familiar with night vision to understand how it works. But it is similar to white infra red that Military uses. Good Company YYTRADE and good man Ben Yang.
