Youngstown's Waterproof Gauntlet XT is the winter glove you have been looking for - durable, dexterous, comfortable and waterproof! Created in a unique triple layer design featuring a soft and insulating microfleece liner, a waterproof / windproof inner membrane and a durable, form-fit outer shell. The terry cloth thumb is great for wiping sweat and debris or even your nose. The palm side is extensively reinforced with non-slip reinforcement to enhance grip while providing lasting durability. The extended Gauntlet cuff can fit under or over jackets and features a cinch to ensure the cold stays out. This highly functional winter glove is ideal for any number of winter activities - from heavy duty work like chopping wood or recreational activiites like ice fishing - this glove will cover your needs. Please note that our 2010-11 batch is running a little small and it is recommended that you size up 1 size when ordering. Customer Review: durable looking gloves

I purchased these for cold weather cycling and was pleasantly surprised by the construction and materials in these gloves. I have used them only twice so far, but so far I like them very much. My only note is that (as another reviewer stated) they do run a tad small. I normally fit fine in XL gloves, but in this pair of XL's they were just a bit tight, which in gloves isn't a good thing. Had I opted for the next size up, I think they might be perfect. I'll use and abuse them in the meantime and I hope to pack down the insulation to give a slightly roomier fit over time. I have also used them for setting stakes on a cross country trail, and the palms give great traction and seem more durable than most. These would probably work well for the more abusive outdoor pursuits.
