This is the third Mini Multi-Battery Tester I have purchased. This tester
has saved me enough money by NOT throwing away batteries that they have
paid for themselves. The batteries this testers uses have lasted a very
long time. I would very highly recommend buying this tester or one very
similiar to it. I have seen other tester's that look like it that test
even more batteries than this one will test. These tester's are a little
on the pricey side but they will actually save you money and in my
opinion are more than worth their small price. Batteries can get very
expensive very quick!!!!

Excellent product -- I am very impressed with it. My kids runs through batteries quickly and change them themselves -- unfortunately they often leave the used ones behind mixed in with the good ones. I have a digital multimeter with a battery tester option, but as noted by others, this only tests for voltage output and isn't sensitive enough: it will discern new from completely dead, but weak batteries will often show as full voltage. To get a more effective test, you need some kind of load test and this unit's pulse test does the job nicely. It has allowed me to clean out my battery mystery pile and restore order to my workbench!Customer Review: A little pricey, but works great.

I compared this to my old low price tester on a batch of used batteries. There is no doubt the MTB works MUCH better. I was hanging on to these batteries because the old tester was showing them good, but they wouldn't run toys. The MTB shows how much battery is remaining. I recommend you test a battery twice to confirm the reading in case you were not touching the contacts well the first time. My only complaint is that the method of contact is somewhat annoying, but is a minor inconvenience; after all, how often do you test batteries anyway?Customer Review: Very good unit

I would highly recommend this tester. For most of the commonly used batteries, and for NIMH re-chargeables (which is why I bought it) it's an excellent tool and appears to be very accurate... as well as extremely easy to use.
One thing I noticed; the percentage bar at the top, only goes as high as 80% (in terms of battery power) but the little (un-named) blip at the end WILL light up, indicating 100% power, when testing a really full battery.
Just don't forget to have 4 AAA batteries on hand when the unit arrives!

I agree with all the other 5 star ratings...
but I wanted to add that since this item does not
charge, you will be in the market of a battery charger.
I believe the La Crosse BC900 is the better buy, but I
only wanted to add that the LaCrosse BC700 does not come
with a carrying case, and that the LaCrosse BC900 does come with
a carrying case...the carrying case has an EXTRA POCKET that
easily will carry this Mini Multi Battry Tester.
