I'm constantly amazed at the frailness of rechargeable batteries. The manufacturers claim an almost infinite life for these expensive little pieces of "green" technology but as a newspaper photographer, I keep finding them failing at the most awkward moments. The Mini Multi-Battery Tester finds those batteries that just aren't up to the task before failing at some critical time. This battery tester is awesome. It's the perfect blend of sophistication yet easy enough for a non-tech person to use. The tester has definitely saved me time wondering whether which battery is working or not. Don't waste your time with analog readers or testers designed for engineer types. One of my best tech buys! I originally bought mine more than double the price, so I'm happy to buy a 2nd for my family.Customer Review: Works like a charm

I did a lot of research before settling on this battery tester. It is compact, gives an accurate percentage of power remaining reading and is easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a great battery tester. The only downside to this product is that it needs 4 AAA batteries. Most battery testers don't require batteries to operate. The true test of a battery is to measure its voltage under a load. This is how car batteries are tested. This tester does just that, using an appropriate amount of load for the different types of batteries. I use this to match up rechargeable batteries so those that discharge a little faster are removed from the set. This is a great tool everyone should have one.Customer Review: Saves me money!

This battery tester has already paid for itself. If a toy (or electronic gadget) is running slow, I remove and test all the batteries. Each time I found that some of the batteries still had 80% life in them, while others were dead. Before I had this tester, I would replace all the batteries. Now I can replace only the dead ones. It is great!
