Customer Review: Have had 2 brands and this one stinks - don't bother

I have had to install horse fence twice - once at my parent's place (2 acres) and one at mine (4 acres). My dad has a Fi-Shock solar charger and it still works great after 5 years.
MY fence contractor put this Zareba charger on and it has not worked consistently since March 2006 - when it was installed. I should have returned the piece of junk right away, but I kept thinking my fence had too many weeds, or a connection was broken or SOMETHING - well, I have trimmed and killed all vegetation near the fence, have checked the connections and guess what? It STILL doesn't work.
Zareba only has a 1 year warranty too - how nice, considering that the Fi-Shock AND Gallagher are both TWO years. I will be getting a different brand to replace the Zareba.
