Customer Review: Unbelievably wonderful.

After using my Roomba for a year and loving it, I decided to splurge and buy Scooba. Wow! I think I love it even more than my Roomba! I turn it loose in my large kitchen every couple days and go upstairs and forget about it. When I return, I have a gorgeous, shiny, clean-smelling floor. Once a week, I wrap a damp washcloth around my Swiffer mop and go around the edges or my kitchen and deep in the corners--but the rest of the floor is spotless and shiny ALL THE TIME. Scooba is a miracle.
I did have a little bit of fussing with it right out of the box. I had to prime the pump to get it going. My only suggestion to iRobot is to go ahead and include the instructions on priming Scooba in the box instead of making people go to the iRobot website to troubleshoot. Obviously, from reading the reviews, you ought to expect that the customer will have that problem. Fortunately, that's the ONLY trouble I've ever had with it! I've never had to prime again and it works flawlessly. I'm very impressed with Scooba!

This is a great machine. Sure, it's not absolutely perfect, but for the price, it's well worth it and the only one like it on the market. It cleans well and most importantly, it does it all by itself. I fill it up, walk the dogs, come back and it's done, clean floors!
As others have commented, it does leave a nice layer of water on the floors, but it's a small trade-off for the cleaning job it does. Nothing a quick dragging of a towel on the floor will take care of in a jiffy, if wanted.
Purchasing tip: Buy from Hammacher Schlemmer. They have an "Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee," where for whatever reason, they will exchange the machine for free. They even include a return shipping label (with instructions) with the Scooba for easy returns. There are many testimonials online stating exchanges continuing in upwards of 5 years after the date of purchase! Also, Google "Hammacher coupon" for a code that will save you on shipping charges ($20).

I had wanted this product for a long time and was finally determined to get it when my sister-in-law told me how great it worked for her. I dropped hints, both subtle and not-so-subtle, to my husband and after about a year and a half, the scooba arrived on Mother's Day, 2007. I could not be happier with this little guy. I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 3 month old and this makes my life so much easier. For those of you that have kids, you know how gross the kitchen floor can get (dropped popsicles, spilled juice, kids running in and out from the pool) and with the Scooba, I have a clean floor every morning. It's great. It won't get corners, but that seems insignificant once you see what it will get. Taking a minute to finish up the corners, yourself, is no big deal. I highly recommend this product to anyone who likes to have a clean house, but just doesn't have that extra time on most days. This product definately serves it's purpose above and beyond my expectations. I LOVE IT!!Customer Review: Works great! Couldn't do without it now!

I bought this Remanufactured iRobot Scooba Floor Washing Machine in September. It works great. I use it every Saturday. I wouldn't want to be without it now!
I had a problem with the "Release to Open" Lever (to get to the clean and dirty tanks. This was within the Manufacturers 90 day warranty. They fixed the release; no problems with the iRobot company. I would recommend Amazon's 2 year warranty for this item, which I did buy.
The Scooba does not clean the corners well. This is not a problem if you know about it; you just go around with a mop and clean the corners, and zap the house is clean.
I like the way the Scooba scrubs and then squeegees the floor. There's no "mop marks".
My husband was annoyed when I insisted on ordering this. After the first use, he was pleasantly surprised. He's bragged to his family about how great it works.
Again, I wouldn't want to be without this machine.
Customer Review: NOT FOR EVERYBODY!

Do not expect to just take it out of the box and run it.
It is doing a great job, but for routine maintenance and minor problems it needs you to understand well its operation and act consequently.
For instance, my wife runs it, but I use to clean, empty, refill and recharge it.
We love it. It cleans perfectly ceramic and hardwood, without putting down too much water that would spoil it. We use it everyday after meals. It picks up dirt parts too (we have three YOUNG children!).
It does what our Roomba cannot do. When the floor is humid or wet (spills), the Roomba dirt bin gets too dirty, because the dirt sticks to it. So the two are complementary.
Battery not so long, but enough for our medium size kitchen and bathroom on one charge. We did not buy the second battery, because we would need another charger, and both would be half of the cost of the Scooba! And we do not buy a second Scooba, because it would be too much stuff around.
