Tools and Hardware Reviews of iRobot 330 Scooba Floor-Washing RobotCustomer Review: Great For Ceramic Tile Floors! Summary: 5 Stars
We have a 3,500 square foot house in the desert. Needless to say, the dust seeps in even when every window and door is closed. Keeping up with the cleaning would be a full time job, but for this wonderful invention. We love the cleaner that comes with the robot; it leaves a nice, clean scent behind. We're often amazed at how filthy the water is that is coming out of the robot after it has finished it chores! Our only problem is that many of the rooms in the house are 400 or 500 square feet, so we need to buy the newer model that can handle up to 850 square feet.
Not only is the product awesome, but the customer service is great as well. When we called up to order more cleaner, called to asked about virtual walls and/or additional batteries, we got prompt service. No waiting on terminal hold.
We can't imagine living without this wonderful invention.
Customer Review: Clean white sox was my test Summary: 5 Stars
Even though we have 3 floor sweeping Irobot roombas, I was skeptical when I ordered the scooba. My test was to use it on my kitchen floor which gets the most wear and tear, dirt, flour, spillage etc. I followed the instructions and let her go. Once it stopped cleaning and the floor was dry to the last area done, I walked all over with clean white sox. Then I carefully inspected the sox. I was amazed and extremely happy!
After 2 yrs the batteries wore out and I had to scrub the floor with a mop and in areas on my hands and knees. With a bad back and sore knees this was a real chore and really convinced me that I needed to get those batteries replaced asap! So I did and now my Scooba works as good as new! I love the thing and would replace it completely before going back to cleaning with a mop again! It does far better than any mop I've tried.
Customer Review: A life changer Summary: 5 Stars
I bought a scooba and a roomba for my recently widowed older mother. This has dramatically improved the quality of our lives. She lives in a large house with 4 cats and 2 dogs. It would take her hours to vacuum and mop the floors. Now the Roomba is set to vacuum every morning. It returns itself to the charger. She uses the scooba on the weekends. The scooba works best if you divide your house up by rooms. She has an open floor plan and will divide the house up into areas. The scooba runs for about 45 minutes on a tank. This will do a very large room. It is best to start it and walk away. The water left behind is minimal at most. I find that it does well in 90 degree corners, but can struggle with curved walls. Is it as good as you on your hands and knees, no! But you can use this daily and it is better than you! Vinegar works great!
Customer Review: Scooba keeps my floors sparkling clean! :) Summary: 5 Stars
I've had a Roomba Vacuum for years and absolutely love it so I decided to take the plunge and get a scooba for my kitchen floor. I was using one of those disposable wet jet mop pad things and found them useless because the pad gets dirty in about 30 seconds and you end up just pushing the dirt around your floor. The thing I really like about Scooba is that only clean solution goes on your floor and after being scrubbed by the revolving brush, gets sucked up into a separate tank. Trust me when I tell you you'll be amazed when you empty the dirty tank and black water comes out. I can honestly say my floors have never been cleaner with scooba. Clean up only takes about 5 minutes and consists of rinsing the clean & dirty tanks and a few parts under water. Highly recommended and a lifesaver!
Customer Review: Actually works! Summary: 5 Stars
Amazon's reviews helped me overcome my skepticism and to purchase this product. Despite being a computer programmer, something in my brain resists the notion that a little robot could effectively mop my floors.
I'm happy to report that on my travertine marble floors, the Scooba works very well indeed! It takes a while to do its job and is only slightly less loug than a standard vacuum cleaner, but it manages to cover the entire surface area of the floor in its cycle and when complete, the floors are in fact very clean.
Update: After resurfacing my marble floors, I learned that cleaning solutions are NOT the way to go with polished marble. I now use only water for cleaning and I recommend only water for those of you with marble as well.
Very impressed.
