Tools and Hardware Reviews of iTouchless Fully Automatic Stainless Steel Touchless Trashcan TX, 1 Gallon (6 Liter)Customer Review: Solves a messy problem Summary: 5 Stars
Since we got our two cats (one in 2006 and one in 2007) we've been having all sorts of litter box problems and trying all sorts of solutions. We finally stumbled across a giant pan (relatively cheap) here on Amazon - which I have also seen locally at Petsmart - the Kitty's Crumble litter, and the iTouchless 1-gallon trash can. The cats have finally started using the box 100% of the time (as opposed to hanging certain parts over the edge while going). They seem to like the texture of Kitty's Crumble. It tracks less than clumping litters and what does track sweeps up easily with a mini dustpan and brush. Then we put a grocery bag in the iTouchless can (inside the bucket). Solids get scooped into the grocery bag every day, and at the end of the week, the solids bag is taken to the garbage bin (the one the trashmen empty) and the used Crumble goes into the bucket. Then the used Crumble goes out into the garden. Less waste, more clean, happy cats, no mess!
Customer Review: Compost Bin Summary: 5 Stars
I had been looking for a compost pail to replace the antique one I had in the sink for a very long time. I did not like any of the new versions with charcoal features or lids that did not shut tight so odors escaped. I have the itouchless trash can in my kithen and this led me to look in a new direction for a compost bin. I found this 1 gallon bin and it is perfect. I keep it under the sink (so now I have a full sink back - bonus). This pail has a plastic container with a handle that sits inside the stainless bin. The lid stays open just long enough to put the scraps in and once the lid shuts no odors escape. I love it and think it should be marketed as an under the sink compost bin.
Customer Review: No more pets getting into the bath trash! Summary: 5 Stars
I was at my wit's end, after years of cleaning up the strewn trash my dog would dig out of the bathroom garbage! Some family members have a touchless trash can in their kitchen, so I finally did an online search for a small one for the bath. I couldn't find very many to choose from at all, but I liked the reviews about the iTouchless 1 gallon trashcan here on Amazon.com. I bought two about a month ago and have been completely pleased with each one. No complaints from me! Now my dog stays out of the trash; in fact, the automatic function scares her away from it!
Customer Review: perfect for food scraps Summary: 5 Stars
I love this automatic trash can. I keep it next to the kitchen sink and use it for keeping food scraps, which I dump into the green trashcan with the yard waste so that the city can turn it into compost. I've tried using other composting and food scrap bins and they all get smelly. But this trash can seals pretty well and keeps the smell in. The sensor that automatically opens the lid is so convenient: all you have to do is chop your veggies, put your hand over the lid so it opens, then drop in your food scraps. Excellent product!
Customer Review: I love this can! Summary: 5 Stars
We were searching for a way to store our food scraps (that we compost) during the day that would prevent the abundance of fruit flies we were getting. This little miracle can has done it! We have seen maybe three fruit flies all season, our normal amount is hundreds. This can seals so well that they don't even know where the scraps are! Watch out when you open it for smells though, I usually put a lemon wedge in it to keep the odor down until it is dumped. It is one of my best kitchen purchases next to the appliances.
