I really like the no-touch feature, it keeps bad smells out of the kitchen. Also love the white color, hard to find this with other trash cans. I loved the old touchless trash can (slightly smaller, lid flips up) and liked the space-saving horizontal opening idea of this newer one, but it didn't work out very well. The lid on this newer model slides open too slowly to be practical, so I'm often standing with a handful of garbage, waiting for the sensor. A couple of times, I've accidentally sprinkled flour, crumbs or a drip of something wet on the lid while waiting for it to open. Works decently, but I'd never buy another of this model. Perhaps it works faster with the AC adapter.Customer Review: Finally tamed

I got the tape around the inside rim to cover the teeth. I peeled all the labels out slowly. I put a plastic clear left-over cake cover (store bought square tray) as the liner for this trash can. The rectangular shape clear plastic cover is great. You cannot see the plastic yet it will catch all the drippings from leaked stuff. I also double bag the can and place some paper towel on the bottom. With a hard wood floor, I cannot risk messing up with leaks.Customer Review: Big Disappointment! ! !

I was so happy to receive this as an anniversary gift until I tried to use it. The inside trash bag ring was missing and it turned on and would open but would not close. Amazon was to quick to send out another one but the next one the slats were not connected. What a hassel!!! I will not be trying another one due to amazon only replaces an item one timeand then refunds money back. For the money and time spent I expect an item to be working in proper order at least for one or two uses!!
