I had one of those battery operated automatic cans that worked for a few months, but was not happy with it and just stopped changing the batteries. I wanted a nice stainless steel step on can and couldn't believe what a chore it was finding one! Then I found this one, and the price wasn't ridiculous. Seriously.... people pay over $100 for a trash can???? This is exactly what I wanted - easy to clean, easy to use and attractive. My dogs can't get into it (until they figure out what that lever is at the bottom - I give them a month) and they can't knock it over. And, of course, with Amazon Prime - it was here in 2 days.
